The young, ambitious Valeria, a singer, songwriter exhibits the kind of poetic and musical insight on which important careers are built. Valeria is also a model and actress. Working in amateur theater groups she seeks to create a name for herself in the film industry. Currently working on her second music CD, she has reaped the benefits of gaining recognition from her first album, ?Happy Tortured Soul?, that was released on the world wide web and in select retail locations throughout metropolitan New York. Club single ?My Love Is True? raged in European clubs and was released on Pete Tong?s ?Essential Selections of Ibiza 1999?. With a full band in tow, Valeria hit the streets, exposing and selling her music to nightclub audiences throughout Long Island, New York City, and in festivals internationally. She has gained radio exposure on HOT AC reporting stations: WWSE-FM; WGNY-FM; and WVLT-FM in New York and New Jersey with the tracks, ?NAKED? and ?I WILL FOLLOW?. Valeria has garnered interest on the world wide web through the online website at broadbandtalentnet.com/valeria, where she reached the #2 spot in the ARTIST TOP 10 in February of 2000 followed by the #2 spot on the Radio BTN Top 50 in March with the song ?NAKED? and the #49 spot with ?I WILL FOLLOW?. Seeking to create a more progressive sound, Valeria stays current by continuing to perform for anticipating audiences at dance venues in NYC.
Born Valeria Zoraida Valente, it was not long before the music bug caught fire inside this talented woman. ?When I was three and four years old, my father used to record me singing in Italian on his old two track machine. I always knew I wanted to sing,? Valeria recalls. Drawing inspiration from the journey through life experience, it was a natural progression for her to evolve from poetry to song. Returning to her Latin roots, Italian/Spaniard, she is currently working on a Spanish version of a couple of her songs. Just months from her first meeting with producer/engineer Steve Young, the music you are about to enjoy ascended from stories and lyric to a ?SOUND?.
