When he was a kid, his guitar teacher gave him a copy of "supersession" and told him to learn the parts on the album. That was Kondol's last guitar lesson. Many years ago Kondol was encouraged by Scott McCaughey (REM,young fresh fellows) to release his own albums. Avandguard has since tried to emulate what Mark Sandman (morphine) did at his Hi & Dri studios or maybe Alejandro Escovedo crossed with GBVs.
