Imac?pronounced ?e-MAH-say?) is an ensemble to keep your eye on. Three vocally advanced young women who truly have R&B style vocals to match their soulful tracks incorporate a new sound infusing Latin and R&B beats with a mainstream and commercial feel. The next venture promises something a Caucasian group has yet to emulate: Neo-Soul. Extracting themselves from a "girl group" clich?Imac? mature sound gives off a new vibe unlike any you have heard. Combining a marketable look with edgy lyrics, jazz-stacked harmonies, and catchy melodies, Imac?ets one know they mean business, and are going to keep you wanting more. Already receiving radio spins for new artist features in Jacksonville and London, Imac?s well on their way to mainstream radio. Indie-Connections.com selected them as a top artist for their new artist buzz CD to be distributed to college radio stations throughout the country. Many large internet music sites are featuring Imac?s a buzzing artist, gaining them fans around the world. Teamed with extensive stage experience, strong production by Toby Rivers (Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Usher) Nick Caudle (Deborah Cox, 95 South), and songwriting within the group, Imac?tands out in a crowd of groups the new millennium has produced. One listen will tell you this ain?t your bubblegum girl group, and they want you to know it.
Kary Regallis , is originally from Akron, OH, and as the founder of Imac?has performed live fronting several bands, and has performed on numerous television shows in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as recording Station Identification Breaks. Hip Hop choreography and a steel drum background are what make her style as a songwriter as unique as she is. A member of ASCAP, her music is currently being played on internet music radio stations, and consistently ranks in the top 10 of internet radio charts. Her jazz background has landed her the title of ?Best Jazz Vocalist? more than once in her hometown.
Angela Roberts hails from Jacksonville, Florida, where she is a regular on the music scene. She has fronted bands from the fine dining circuit (namely LaVilla Grill and Carrabba's) on over to the nightclubs of the city (Partners and the VooDoo Lounge). She's done a duo act with a jazz guitarist throughout the city and even led Christmas Masses at her family church. Her musical influences are equally as diverse; from jazz to funk, blues to hip hop, she sings from the soul. Though born and raised in the Florida sunshine, she attributes her exposure to the streets of New Orleans and her mother's rich Cajun background to her nitty gritty yet swingin' approach to vocals.
Karen Slone, the youngest member of Imac?hails from Carrie, KY with powerful vocals that have landed her opening spots for Ricochet, Exile, South 65, and the pop female group Innosense. She has had the experience of performing for political officials, including the Governor of Kentucky. She has performed live for educational programs as well as private functions. The Kentucky Opry Junior Pros have welcomed Karen?s amazing voice since she was fifteen years old. Combining strong dance skills and vocals, Karen is a complete package for the Imac?ineup. Performing in large venues such as the Omni Rosen Plaza in Orlando, and Philips Arena in Atlanta, their diverse sound caters to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Sharing the stage with artists such as Lil? Bow Wow, Jagged Edge, and Lil? Zane give Imac?iversity among music fans. Imac?ven captured the eye of BET (Black Entertainment Television) following their Youth Summit performance, featuring them in a live interview. Rooms To Go Furniture is currently featuring Imac?n their nationwide commercials. While female groups may be constantly emerging, Imac?eems to be one we had better keep our ears out for, as we have yet to hear another female vocal group who can encapsulate their style, or their imaginative songs; it is sure to make the listener rewind and listen to their story again.
