William Mims is a native of Stamford, Connecticut - who just released his first CD entitled, "I'm Gonna Lift You Higher". His style is labeled Contemporary Gospel Jazz fusion; it minister's to the heart and soothes the mind. It contains eight tracks all written and produced by William. William seeks to glorify God through his music. Moreover, he believes that music ministry is God's calling on his life. He often stresses that he views his role as a music Minister, and NOT an entertainer. As such, William recognizes the importance of being doctrinally sound in the music he writes. His compositions are inspired primarily by his daily meditation of scriptures. The titles and lyrics can be referenced back to scripture passages or Bible stories.
Furthermore, he was a featured artist on Sister T.'s Christian radio program in Indianapolis, Indiana. William also participated in the Gospel Brunch at Hard Rock Caf?n downtown Indianapolis. At this event he sang three songs off his recent release. In addition to that, he was included in an edition of SCOOP magazine. To sum up, William's ultimate purpose is to Minister and touch the lives of people. |
