Born and raised in New York City, Heather Leigh West grew up in the cultural melting pot of the world. Creative talent always surrounded this native New Yorker born into a “Theater Family”. A graduate of New York City's LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts - Vocal Department, she spent three of those years in the Gospel Chorus where her unique style truly began to develop.
Over the years Heather has had the privilege of backing such musical legends as:
Patti LaBelle, Billy Preston and Natalie Cole. Followed by various bands, vocal groups and solo work, Heather recorded a hit dance single called, ‘Drop A House’ (Now a club classic which originally charted in Billboard Magazine in 1995 for 3 months). The same vocal was later featured on the 1998 hit single ‘Feel It’, which charted again for 6 months, it became an international #1 hit and is continually played daily all over the world. It was the continued success of this track that brought Heather to the realization that ‘Dance’ music was part of her path.
Heather’s other talents include songwriting/composing /arranging and she enjoys collaborating with other talented musicians. In recent years she has teamed up with a plethora of very talented Producer’s/DJ’s including: Anthony James (UK), Lord Beezo (NY), Jon Martin (NY), DJ Eddie X (Miami) and Luigi Gonzales (Miami) on various tracks, and is currently recording several new dance songs for Waako Records/ZYX Music.

In addition to the aforementioned projects, Heather is currently working on her freshman R&B/Soul project, which is forthcoming. She is well on her way to making her mark on the music industry that people will remember. Her vocals and down to earth persona magnetize you each and every time.
