Five O'Clock Music, Inc was formed in September 2001 with the intent of extracting, developing and releasing talent, that would otherwise go un-noticed. Based in Tampa, Florida, founder Dwayne E. Golson teamed up with one of Tampa's hottest Dj's (DJ Daddy Stro) and began this journey. Developing him as an artist to began, the DJ became recording artist Strizzo (http://www.strizzo.com) and stumbled upon the hits "Low, Lowww" and "Do Yo Dance" which have become regional hits in the southeast. This garnered distribution through Ophir Distribution, and made the Strizzo (rap) Album "Operation: GetDown" available through all major retailers websites (Target, Best Buy, Sam Goody, Virgin, Circut City, FYE). The goal to become a multi-genre independant record label had manifest iteself. With the addition of Gospel Artist Lee Cort (leecort . com or cdbaby . com/cd/leecort) and 3AM which stands for 3rd Angel's Message (3amministries . com or cdbaby . com/cd/3am) the single genre rap label, added gospel releases to its catalog. Today, 4 years later, Five O'Clock Music, Inc. has release 6 projects in its catalog, 5 rap acts, 3 gospel, 1 soul and partnered with 3 music production companies, and 1 film/tv production company and a host of other afffiliates.
